Parkinson’s Disease is a neurodegenerative disease which affects more than 1 million Americans. PD causes nerve damage resulting in a dopamine level drop, impacting motor function. 1% of our population over the age of 60 lives with PD.

Up to 20% of those diagnosed are under the age of 50, and half of those with early onset Parkinson’s are under the age of 40.

70% of people with PD rely on a spouse for their care, and less than 5% are capable of affording/attaining a paid caregiver.

There is no cure for Parkinson’s today. But advances in medical science & technology bring us closer to better understanding its genetic & environmental factors as well as treatments to improve quality of life for those impacted by it.
